I sent Riley (the man who'll take on even the worst jobs) on one of his toughest assignments yet. An exclusive interview with Squid and Theo of the Lunachicks, the hottest all female band this side of Mars. He pulled the job off okay but I don't think he's been quite the same since he returned...

Hello Theo and Squid - "Hellooooo Craig." Firstly welcome to the land of Oz. - "Thankyou and welcome to the Lunachicks."
Thankyou and how's it been so far, apart from the kangaroos?
- "Amazing, we love it here." Is it hot enough for you? - "Yeeeeeer."

Well you have quite a few tattoos, two or three - "We both have one very large tattoo." What got you into tattoos Squid, when did you start? - "I wanted to be tattooed when I was pretty young and me and my sister went into a tattoo parlour in our neighbourhood and we were both underage: she got a tattoo but they threw me out because I was only thirteen. I forgot about it for a while and then Theo got a tattoo and whooo we were nineteen, twenty and" So you've known each other for a while then? - "Yeah for a long while, and then I got a tattoo and there was a tattoo artist I was really interested in that had tattooed a bunch of friends of mine and I sort of started dating this guy for a while. I just had like access to all these really great designs and I just started meeting all these really amazing tattoo artists and became friends with them." Squid you're also a very good tattooist - "Yeah, one of them offered me a job kind of helping out in the shop and I was getting like more tattoos and me and this guy sort of hit it of and he wanted to teach me to tattoo." So you've been tattooing for a while now? - "Well I apprenticed to him in '92 so about eight years in all and all the time getting free tattoos." Now, where do you work, do you have a main shop you work out of? - "I work out of Flyrite Tattoo out of Brooklyn New York." So as soon as you get home it'll be straight back into the tattoo shop - "Yeah pretty much." And Theo what got you into tattoos? - "Well I was nineteenish and I was obsessed with them starting from when I was seven years old and then I got one and my dad said, well you always wanted one, and that was pretty cool but they didn't realise what was going to happen but for a long time I didn't think I would end up getting sleeves or wanting more and more" But it happens - "Yeah yeah it does." What do your tattoos represent to you? - "They're kind of so weird because you could have a tattoo of your '97 trip together with your friend or the world according to you, so it's all personal to you but it doesn't have much meaning really any much more meaning than what you see, you know what I mean?"
