Since
the release of their fifth album Plastic Skies, Bodyjar have been one
of the busiest bands in Oz. Appearing on Rove (where they meet Gene and
Paul from Kiss!) and Roy & HG’s show the Monday Dump, as well
as a heavy touring schedule, I was lucky to be able to catch up with bass
player Grant Relf at his favourite watering hole.
What was your first tattoo?
It was the skull throwing up skulls, it’s a cover of a Paul Booth tattoo. It was done by Greg Heasly when I was nineteen.
Do you still like it?
Yes, I am getting it reworked with celtic designs around it at the moment by Sarah Bowyer.
What other tattoos do you have?
I have one on my chest, lower back, and a full sleeve all done by Ken at Obsession Tattoo and Greg at Tattoo Connection.
Do you favour a particular style of tattoo?
Yes, I like black and grey stuff that is nice and evil. I don’t have that much of it at the moment but it’s coming!
