Since forming in 1998, Day Of Contempt fast became one of Australia’s most popular Hardcore acts. Based in Adelaide, and having one of the busiest touring schedules in the country, this is one band I would highly recommend not to miss. They have supported acts such as H20, Unwritten Law, The Mad Caddies, 28 Days, Hot Water Music and Frenzal Rhomb, have released a 6 song EP “Where Shadows Lie“ and their first full length album, “See Through The Lies“ in January of this year.
Live, they are something that have to be seen. They have an energy and onstage presence that is electrifying and intense, to say the least!
I was lucky enough to catch up with the boys from Day Of Contempt while they were playing a host of shows in Melbourne recently. Not only does this band sound great, but they have a great collection of ink between them, and I’m sure it helps that bass player, Dan Smith, just happens to be a very talented young artist who works in one of Adelaide’s leading tattoo studios, The Body Art Shop.
