Revolver Upstairs was recently host to a unique exhibition of skateboard art, “No Comply” by Meanwhile The Other Hand Presents. Featuring a whole range of artists from different backgrounds and styles, tattoo artists, illustrators, designers and graf artists including Giovanni, Craig Deuce, Mase, Ozzy and Rick Graven from An Eternal Instinct Tattoo, Phibs, Yok, Cale Mason, Kano, Sutu, Koan, Reka, Sean Kelly, Burn Crew, Monkey, Two, Crispy, Simon Childerhouse, Sync, Prism, Mike Tan, Jagi, Qube Konstruct, Nurock and Cammo.
Visually the link between tattoos and skateboard graphics is as strong as the link between tattoos and an airbrushed Harley Tank. New generations of rebels. The images, styles and influences on skateboard art in this exhibition are so connected with tattooing that many of them would be as comfortable on skin as they are here on wood.
